Mark O’ Connell is Vice President of Government Affairs for PLASTICS, leading efforts to educate state and local policymakers on the legislative and policy priorities of PLASTICS and overseeing the PLASTICS Political Action Committee.

He has over two decades of government affairs experience ranging from Capitol Hill, federal agencies, state legislatures and corporate government affairs. Mark has served as Chief of Staff in the U.S. House of Representatives, was appointed by President George W. Bush as Deputy Associate Administrator of Congressional Affairs at the EPA and led government affairs teams in the private sector.

He is a graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College with a degree in Political Science.
